We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide technical systems, training, and administrative support to the Public Transport Authority (PTA). This role is critical in enhancing branch-level operational plans and ensuring the smooth execution of financial management processes.

In this role, you will manage the interfaces between subsystems and the Financial Management System (FMS), ensuring accurate and timely transaction transfers. You'll be responsible for conducting regular audits and health checks to maintain optimal FMS performance, while assisting with security access controls in accordance with delegated authorities.

You will also provide project and administrative support for system enhancements and upgrades, offering front-line technical assistance to end-users. Your expertise will contribute to identifying opportunities for FMS improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness in the system.

About You
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Have proven experience with large, complex Enterprise Resource Planning systems (e.g., Ellipse) in a commercial, accrual-based environment, including system administration and project/end-user support.
  • Have a strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made. Currently, there are two fixed term positions available for up to 12 months with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency. Both roles are available for an immediate start.
