About the Role

The Public Transport Authority is seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Support Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Information Management and Operational Systems (IMOS) division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Building Access System.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Building Access System meets operational requirements, maintaining high levels of availability, reliability, integrity, and security.
  • Work with the IT Operations team to manage and maintain various enterprise-grade IT systems.
  • Identify problem areas, propose and implement solutions to enhance IMOS Systems and Services.
  • Contribute to the review of working practices, improving processes and guidance documents for the Building Access System.

About You:

We are looking for an individual with relevant IT desktop support experience, comprehensive Windows Active Directory experience, and a good understanding of IT networking concepts. You will need excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to develop a rapport with internal and external stakeholders and achieve agreed targets and timelines through effective time management.

Requirements:

  • Considerable recent experience in an IT Desktop Support role.
  • Sound understanding of role-based security.
  • Sound understanding of TCP/IP and general networking concepts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Windows 10, Windows Active Directory, implementing improvements to systems and processes, adapting to new technologies, prioritizing fault and maintenance activities, and contract management.
  • Good conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to analyze information and data and provide reports relating to the findings.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience with building management systems such as Gallagher or a similar type building management system.
