About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide technical systems, training, and administrative support to the Public Transport Authority (PTA). This role is critical in enhancing branch-level operational plans and ensuring the smooth execution of financial management processes.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the interfaces between subsystems and the Financial Management System (FMS), ensuring accurate and timely transaction transfers. You will also conduct regular audits and health checks to maintain optimal FMS performance, while assisting with security access controls in accordance with delegated authorities.

Additionally, you will provide project and administrative support for system enhancements and upgrades, offering front-line technical assistance to end-users. Your expertise will contribute to identifying opportunities for FMS improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness in the system.

This is a key role for someone with a passion for financial systems, continuous improvement, and delivering high-quality support to help drive the PTA's objectives.

About You

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business, Commerce, Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience with large, complex Enterprise Resource Planning systems (e.g., Ellipse) in a commercial, accrual-based environment, including system administration and project/end-user support.
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting, reporting tools, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made. Currently there are two fixed term positions available for up to 12 months with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency. Both roles are available for an immediate start.
