About the role

  • Receive and assess of complex and sensitive complaint and information from employees and stakeholders to determine whether it amounts to suspected corrupt conduct or a public interest disclosure.
  • Undertake comprehensive and accurate research; and
  • Provide highly proficient comprehensive administrative and office management services to the Ethical Standards Unit.

  • Demonstrated experience in assessment of suspected corrupt conduct matters, ethical and professional practice standards and public interest disclosure management processes, with the ability to operate effectively in a high volume, sensitive and complex work environment
  • Proven competency in an administrative and managerial support role to senior officers who operate across multiple multidisciplinary facilities

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise tact, discretion and sound judgement in the absence of decision makers when liaising with senior staff, clients and members of the public
  • High level organisational skills and the proven ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines in a high pressure environment. High level interpersonal, liaison and communication skills, including the capacity and ability to negotiate or communicate on behalf of the agency with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • High level written communication skills, including ability to prepare documents, assessments and briefing notes for senior officers on complex and sensitive issues
