Account Manager, Direct Channel

Role Purpose:
- Responsible to manage and grow a portfolio of direct channel accounts by building strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Key Accountability:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key direct channel accounts, including regular communication with customers to understand their needs and identify new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, including identifying new product and service opportunities, managing pricing and margins, and negotiating contracts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.
- Provide regular reporting on sales performance, account activity, and market trends.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences and identify and implement opportunities for growth.
- Stay uptodate on industry trends and competitive activity, and provide recommendations for strategic initiatives.
- Manage and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide Malaysia Airlines within market representation in assigned territory.
Qualifications & Working Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field with minimum of 35 years of experience in account management, preferably in the direct channel or related industries.
Areas of Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of airline products and services both international and domestic.
- Experience in superior customer service delivery.
- Experience in developing, implementing and managing account sales and marketing programs to drive improved revenue outcomes.
- Ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure to meet customer expectations.
- Able to build strategic partnerships and exceptional relationships with corporate accounts.
- Ability to accurately diagnose known and unknown account business needs and translate them into opportunities and appropriate offerings.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian & New Zealand travel industry.
- Strong understanding of business commercial acumen, including the ability to strategically solve complex issues.
- Selfmotivated, and possesses a positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and growing a portfolio of accounts.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze market trends and customer data to identify business opportunities.
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing pricing and margins.
- Resultsdriven, with strong problemsolving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues across different departments.
- Flexibility and willingness to work outside business hours and at weekends as required.
- Current Australian driver's license and excellent driving record.
- Access to a roadworthy and reliable vehicle.
- Must have the right to live and work in Australia.
