Internal Communications Specialist

Contract - 10 months

The Opportunity:

We have an opportunity to join our client's creative and innovative Communications team as an Internal Communications Specialist.


Your work will focus on driving a multi-channel employee communications strategy to support the roll-out of a large cross-border program of work.

With a focus on building awareness, enhancing employee engagement and understanding and adoption through creative, clever and simple communications.

You'll be a sharp writer, have exceptional stakeholder management skills, strong corporate affairs experience and the skills to drive innovative and creative channel solutions for internal audiences.


You thrive on supporting and understanding business needs to increase employee sentiment and build an understanding of our client's business strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the content and multichannel strategy for internal communications channels with a focus on helping stakeholders build awareness and reduce uncertainties (ie livestreams, enewsletters and global events)
  • Deliver key internal communications events, including livestreams and forums
  • Produce communications assets including: website assets, LinkedIn posts, articles, video, enewsletters, script writing/storyboarding, posters, yammer posts, presentations for stakeholders to execute
  • Maintain a central communications library (Sharepoint) and other digital touchpoints
  • Oversee daytoday operations and planning of the channels to plan and execute to maximise engagement and content reach

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • 7+ years' experience in internal communications
  • Experience executing employee engagement and communication campaigns
  • Stakeholder management experience in complex environments
  • Strong corporate affairs experience
  • Excellent communication skills and exceptional writing skills
  • Initiative, drive and the ability to deliver effectively in ambiguous situations
  • Previous experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering quality commitments on time
