Who you are
Seeking a highly organised individual who can deliver a range of support functions relating to the coordination and maintenance of the University's dedicated defence research facilities and other research facilities and equipment.
What you'll do
- Assist with the coordination of the University's research infrastructure portfolio through the provision of highlevel operational support to the Dean (Research Infrastructure) to ensure the University has functional and fitforpurpose research facilities to meet current and future research needs.
- Support the Dean (Research Infrastructure) and the Research Infrastructure Coordinator (Security Officer) in planning and procurement activities, including coordination of research submissions to the University's internal strategic equipment funding rounds, major external equipment and infrastructure funding rounds, and adhoc infrastructure purchasing.
- Support the planning and provision of research infrastructure training, including print and webbased training and information packages, and facetoface workshops.
What will help you succeed
- A relevant qualification with experience in administration, preferably in a tertiary environment, or an equivalent combination of relevant support/administration experience and/or training.
- Demonstrated high level ability to provide quality services in, and advice to, a research support environment, including experience in database management, website and report development and use of research information systems.
- Knowledge of the wider policy and research environment, specifically around research infrastructure, to ensure the provision of timely and effective research support.
