Job DescriptionJob Title: IT Director
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced IT Director to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation in our Ipswich-based manufacturing organization. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's IT systems, networks, and applications are well-managed, secure, and aligned with our strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with our business objectives and drives growth through effective technology solutions.
- Project Management: Oversee IT projects from start to finish, ensuring successful implementation, training, and resource allocation.
- System Evaluation & Implementation: Research and recommend software solutions to boost operational efficiency and support strategic goals.
- Vendor & SLA Management: Collaborate with external vendors to manage hardware, software, and support services, ensuring compliance with contracts and SLAs.
- Training & IT Support: Provide staff with appropriate IT training and act as the point of contact for internal IT support.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure network security, data backup, disaster recovery plans, and compliance with industry regulations.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Proven ability to lead teams and project management experience in IT.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Expertise in evaluating, selecting, and managing IT systems, with a focus on cybersecurity.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Intune, Entra ID, and Azure AD.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to manage technology budgets effectively.
Required Experience:
- 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role within IT infrastructure.
- Proven experience with cybersecurity initiatives and ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint and other enterprise-level software systems.
Education & Certifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in IT infrastructure, project management, or cybersecurity are preferred.
