About the role

Due to recent expansion, the Office of Research and Ethics is looking for an Ethics Governance and Project Officer to join the team.

The Office of Research and Ethics is a small team of enthusiastic professionals. We are primarily responsible for managing and facilitating research ethics and governance for Eastern Health.

We foster a working environment that is satisfying, flexible, and promotes a healthy work-life balance.

We enjoy a hybrid working setup - incorporating both an on-site and remote working environment.

We welcome applicants from a broad range of backgrounds in the medical/ health/ science/ pharmaceutical industries.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Sound understanding of legislation, codes and guidelines relevant to the ethical conduct in human research.

Ability to analyse and review documents while ensuring attention to detail.

Demonstrated time management capabilities, including working to a deadline and independently prioritising a very high volume workload.

Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team to ensure high quality client service.

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • Understanding of legislation, codes and guidelines relevant to the ethical conduct in human research.
  • Ability to analyse & review documents ensuring attention to detail.
  • Time management capabilities.
  • High level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work Independently and in a team.

Desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in related areas of biomedical research or ethics.
  • Ability to adopt changing practices into the workplace ensuring best practice and superior service standards are met.
