The role:
No two days are ever the same and you will be challenged regularly.

  • You will be responsible to ensure that orders from our customers are handled correctly, timely and that customer demands are met in an efficient and professional manner.
  • You will effectively plan & direct the supply operation.
  • You will be liaising with Government Authorities, working closely with vendors, representing our customer's interests, assisting colleagues, and dealing with industry bodies.
  • Ensure there is continuous communication on the availability and lead times of products with Customer Service, transport, warehouse, expediting and procurement department.
  • Continuous follow up on quotes and orders with substatus 'Awaiting approval'.
  • Process shipments and orders including nonavailable items.
  • Supply Customer Service with necessary information concerning delivery status of orders i.e. charges, delays, availability etc.
  • Provide complete and updated information to warehouse concerning time and place of delivery.
  • Prepare cost pricing information towards final invoicing of service performed.
  • Maintain required control reports and documentation.
  • Assist other departments as needed on stock orders and purchase orders.
  • Out of hours and weekend work will be required.

About the location/department:

  • Based in Sydney, Australia.
  • The role will be reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor in Sydney.

Who you are:

  • Good communication skills and command of the English language (oral and written).
  • A solid understanding of the Logistics Industry and the experience in its regulations and procedures is desirable, but not essential.
  • Process and system understanding.
  • Selfmotivated and result orientated.
  • Proactive and possesses the ability to anticipate issues to facilitate preventive measures.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Problemsolving skills with the ability to make a fast and sound judgment.
  • A strong Health and Safety focus with a desire to get the job done and get it done right.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Ability to cooperate across organization lines internally and towards customers.
  • Systematic and accurate nature.
  • The successful applicant must have a valid permit to work in Australia to qualify for this position.
