The Opportunity
Reporting to the Coordinator of Waste and Cleaning Operations, the role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Waste and Cleaning Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Waste and Cleaning Operations team with receipt and provision of desktop triage for tasks and requests, assign works and/or purchase requisitions as directed to either in house team or contractors.
- Escalate out of scope and/or complex queries and requests to the relevant Waste and Cleaning Operations Officers for further investigation.
- Assist with the administration of service contracts relating to reactive and proactive activities.
- Liaise with other Councils departments and stakeholders regarding Waste and Cleaning Operations requirements.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion in the handling of a wide range of information.
About you
_ To be successful in this role you will have the following:_
- Postsecondary qualification in Administration or relevant office administration experience.
- Plan, organise and prioritise one's own work activities and respond to ongoing requests for action or information from customers.
- Ability to carry out critical tasks specifically relating to the support of the service during planned absences.
- Excellent customer service skills required for appropriate and successful interaction with service contractors, suppliers and the like.
- Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
