About the Unit


The Education and Innovation unit sits within the Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor in the College of Human and Social Futures and plays a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning, international and professional experience activities of the College.

Be challenged and imagine with us
Reporting directly to the Senior Manager Education and Innovation this role will:

  • Drive partnership agreement development, including agreement drafting and collaboration with external partners.
  • Maximise International student enrolments through the efficient renewal of International Partnerships Agreements.
  • Contribute to innovative initiatives to deliver the University's international strategy with specific focus on the Asia Pacific.
  • Actively promote and support a culture of business process improvement.
  • Provide highlevel support to ensure the successful development and execution of a variety of projects.


This six month fixed term position is full time and will be located at the Newcastle City Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

The remuneration for this position is from $82,707 Pro-rated FTE +17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in international student mobility and/or recruitment as well as knowledge of international student markets applicable to the higher education sector, including legislation, international qualifications and their equivalencies
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, mutual respect and cultural sensitivity, including the ability to modify communication styles with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Highly developed written, communication and organisational skills, including demonstrated ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in taking ownership and driving innovation, process improvement and contributing to overall corporate operations.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in adhering to workplace policies and procedures in the areas of work health safety, equity, diversity and promoting a respectful workplace culture.
