About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Signalling Project Engineer to join our growing Rail Operations team in Perth, WA. As part of Laing O'Rourke's Rail Operations division, the role focuses on delivering comprehensive rail projects in Western Australia with a team of skilled professionals.

  • Coordinate railway signalling construction activities to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Oversee the signalling design process and contractor.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between design, procurement, site operations, and testing & commissioning.
  • Review signalling design documentation to guarantee accuracy and alignment with stakeholder requirements.
  • Uphold rail safety standards throughout the project.
  • Offer technical expertise for rail projects undertaken by Laing O'Rourke.
  • Promote a safe working environment following company health, safety, and environmental protocols.

In collaboration with the Signalling Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of Rail Systems for major infrastructure projects.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a relevant engineering degree and substantial experience in delivering Rail Signalling projects as a Project Engineer, preferably within the Australian civil/rail sector. Your resume must demonstrate a strong background in Rail Signalling to be considered for this position.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driving Licence and ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
  • Construction Industry Induction and Rail Industry Worker (RIW) certification.
  • Prior exposure to mining rail networks and/or the PTA WA rail network will be advantageous.
