The Role

In this role, you will ensure the operational performance of all signalling systems and protected level crossing assets are safe, reliable, and cost effective and that all signal maintenance, repairs and associated works are completed to PTA's and relevant standards and customer requirements.

About you

The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership and management skills and experience in supervising and developing teams and individuals, to deliver organisational requirements within a rail safety environment.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Possession of a current Western Australian 'A' grade Electrical Workers Licence.
  • Demonstrated in-depth field experience in maintaining and constructing railway signalling systems including protected level crossings, associated control systems and signalling power distribution systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating resources for maintenance or construction activities.
  • Well developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills including excellent negotiation skills and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated abilities to take control and resolve problems in emergency situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to competently use PC based diagnostic tools and software packages.

This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent or fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made. Currently there is one (1) full time permanent position available for immediate appointment.
