About the role
We're on the lookout for a talented Signalling Project Engineer to join our growing Rail Operations team in Perth, WA.
Within Laing O'Rourke, Rail Operations stands out as a dedicated unit specializing in the comprehensive execution of rail projects. Our team of experts collaborates to deliver a diverse portfolio of work across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Lead on-site railway signalling construction and installation to achieve project objectives in terms of quality, time, and budget.
- Oversee the signalling design contractor and the design process.
- Manage coordination between design, procurement, site operations, and testing & commissioning to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Review signalling design documentation to guarantee accuracy and compliance with stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to rail safety assurance procedures.
- Offer technical assistance to Laing O'Rourke rail projects as needed.
- Promote and comply with Laing O'Rourke health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the Signalling Lead to ensure the timely and high-quality completion of Rail Systems for major infrastructure projects.
About you
- Hold a relevant engineering degree and possess substantial experience in Rail Signalling project management as a Project Engineer on large civil/rail projects, preferably in Australia.
- Demonstrate clear Rail Signalling experience on your resume to be eligible for this position.
- Must have a valid Driving Licence and pass pre-employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol screening.
- Hold Construction Industry Induction & Rail Industry Worker (RIW) credentials.
- Prior exposure to mining rail networks and/or the PTA WA rail network will be advantageous.
