You will demonstrate the following attributes and capabilities:

  • A minimum Bachelor of Music/Education degree recognised by NESA
  • Extensive experience conducting and developing a sequential string program for both cocurricular and curriculum programs that caters to students from beginner to advanced levels
  • Proven ability to deliver effective Music curriculum through 21st century teaching pedagogies. Teaching Stage 6 Music is an advantage
  • Welldeveloped administrative and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a diverse and vibrant team
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and an ability to develop strong relationships in all parts of the community
  • Availability to tour to Spain and Portugal, from December 18, 2024 where you will be conducting the string contingent of the group
This exciting opportunity is responsible for Ensemble Programs, Curriculum Development, Recruitment & Auditions and administration of the Program.

The role requires a team player who will cultivate strong relationships with other members of the music department and school community to create interdisciplinary musical experiences.

Reporting to both the Head of Co-Curricular Music and Head of Learning Area (Performing Arts) you will ensure a seamless integration of the string program into the school's overall curriculum.
