Job Summary:


The
Field Delivery Manager (FDM) will work closely with our Customer Facing Units (CFU's) and Field outsourcing model vendors to deliver and restore services on time and in line with current KPI metrics.

The FDM will be the customer advocate at all times. The role will have state operational accountability for Fixed On-Net and Off-Net Customer and Engineering Orders and faults. The respective services comprise a highly technical set of new and legacy products that Optus has in market.

Key Responsibilities:


The Field Delivery Manager will be required to build and maintain close relationships with CFU's, vendors, NFO internal teams and support their state team directly to provide customers with the best outcome.

The role is expected to deal with up to Director level internally.

The FDM must have strong contractual management knowledge and understand the technical aspects of the contract.


There will be a financial responsibility in the role to manage a state budget within AOP including distributed outsourcing costs.

State outsourcing performance will be driven by the FDM. The downstream effective result will minimise costs, critical issues and reduce loss of service compensation claims.


The FDM must provide a superior level of customer service for Delivery and Assurance and will be required to support escalations outside business hours as required.

The role will be key in the management and delivery of current KPI's.

The role must influence resolver groups internally and externally and be effective in dealing with senior partners to drive complex outcomes.

The role will have responsibility to engage and work broadly across the organisation including Network Deployment, the CFU's and Leadhouse managers nationally

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary Qualification in a business or technical field, or equivalent business experience.
  • 6 years+ demonstrated experience and results in leadership and change management.
  • Project Management and coordination experience
  • Strong understanding of Fixed products, operating environments and relevant Key Performance Indicators.
  • Strong operational experience and customer focus.
  • Significant experience working in a similar industry (i.e. telecoms or high tech) managing a small group and leading leaders in a highvolume work environment operating at a fast pace.
