About the opportunity

The Director of Business Development will be instrumental in shaping our growth trajectory and expanding our client portfolio. You will lead the charge on new client acquisition and revenue generation.

This role is a unique blend of strategic thinking, relationship building, and proposal management expertise. You will have the opportunity to take the lead in shaping our future by crafting and executing a comprehensive client acquisition strategy. Your focus will be on proactive lead generation, targeted client prospecting, and meticulous pipeline management. Through your expertise, you'll identify and cultivate high-potential opportunities, ensuring a steady stream of new business that fuels our continued success.

Business Development Strategy

Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with our future objectives Build powerful networks that generate qualified leads. A "client magnet" – you will forge connections, build trust, and ultimately turn prospects into loyal clients. Lead the charge in active business development – not simply support existing sales efforts. Actively generate leads, prospect for new clients, and nurture relationships. Think "pound the pavement" with a strategic twist, uncovering hidden opportunities and building connections that fuel our future.

Client Engagement

Forge strategic relationships with key decision-makers.Be the bridge between (i.e.,) and potential clients. Through targeted prospecting, you'll identify and connect with key buying centre owners, building strong and positive relationships that pave the way for successful partnerships. Lead consultative sales efforts that drive results. Become a trusted advisor, working closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and pain points. Then, leverage your expertise in our digital solutions to craft compelling proposals that solve their problems and drive tangible results. Partner with internal teams to craft winning solutions. Success doesn't happen in a silo Collaborate seamlessly with our internal teams, from strategy to development. Together, you'll tailor solutions that perfectly meet client requirements, ensuring we deliver competitive propositions that stand out from the crowd.

Proposal Management

Oversee the end-to-end proposal process, from opportunity identification to submission and follow-up. This means working closely with internal teams to identify promising leads, ensuring a smooth and efficient journey and keeping all stakeholders informed and on track. Develop compelling proposals, presentations, and sales collateral that resonate with target clients and differentiate our offerings. Ensure on-time, on-budget excellence. Ensure proposals are delivered on time, within budget, and meticulously aligned with both client requirements and our company's high standards.

Leadership and Collaboration

Lead and inspire collaboration for growth. You won't just be a leader; you'll be an inspiring coach fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, data and analysis, engineering, product delivery, and business services, to ensure alignment and synergy across teams

About You

This role is perfect for someone with 10+ years of experience in business development, ideally within professional services. You'll have a proven track record of exceeding targets and a deep understanding of the digital landscape.

Strategy Planner - You can craft comprehensive business strategies that align with client goals and market trends, incorporating both short-term tactics and long-term vision to drive sustainable growth.Technically Minded - You possess a deep understanding of technological landscapes and trends, adept at leveraging emerging technologies to innovate and create competitive advantages for the business. Relationship Builder: You are a master at cultivating and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and industry influencers, that builds trust, collaboration, and mutual value creation. Problem Solver - You are skilled at analysing complex challenges, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions through a combination of analytical thinking, creativity, and resourcefulness. Negotiation Skills - You are an expert in negotiating contracts, deals, and partnerships to secure favourable terms and maximise value for (i.e.,), while maintaining positive relationships and alignment with strategic objectives. Financial Acumen: Youpossess a solid understanding of financial principles and metrics, including revenue forecasting, cost analysis, and pricing methodologies (Fixed Price, T&M (Time & Materials), and alternative) Leadership: You are a natural leader who inspires cross-functional teams towards common goals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to empower team members to achieve their full potential and deliver results.
