About the role
Provision and management of effective and efficient term allocations, rosters and annual leave for Resident Medical Officers at The Prince Charles Hospital - 76 staff (Interns, Junior/Senior House Officers) in accordance with Queensland Health systems, policies and relevant awards and legislation
About you

  • Knowledge of or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the functions within the Medical Workforce Unit.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse and to solve complex rostering, relieving and allocation issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise and effectively negotiate with senior management on complex issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation, procedures, policies and regulations pertaining to the management of Junior Medical Staff.
  • Demonstrated high level organisational ability including the ability to set priorities and achieve results in an environment of high workload and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines, whilst participating in a highly functional outcome focussed team.
  • High level negotiation and consultative skills in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • A commitment to client service and the ability to work efficiently in a selfdirected manner and to direct others in a team environment to ensure the achievement of work unit goals.
  • Change management skills and ability to initiate new strategies in a continuous Quality Improvement/Best Practice Environment for administrative duties.
  • Ability to work within existing processes and systems and facilitate, promote and adapt to change.
  • Knowledge of or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of common office software programs
