The purpose of this position is to effectively manage RBWH Patient Support Services ensuring high standards of service and safety for patients/clients, visitors and staff through compliance with Metro North Health policies.

  • The purpose of this position is to effectively manage RBWH Patient Support Services ensuring high standards of service and safety for patients/clients, visitors and staff through compliance with Metro North Health policies.
  • The role of Manager is to manage the day to day operations of the delivery of cleaning and patient handling services supporting clinical and non-clinical areas. Queensland Health Operational Services Manual outlines the primary duties for operational service officers within a public health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Establish a leadership and management framework that fosters and promotes the principles of quality Patient Support Services across RBWH.
  • Collaborate with, and act in consultation with, clinical services to ensure appropriate RBWH wide Patient Support Services support to clinicians and clinical services.
  • Provide specialist advice to the Cleaning and Porterage Manager MNHHS to assist in the development of strategic plans and initiatives and the management of organisational change to ensure the continued evolution of an improved service.
  • Implement and direct change management and project management, strategies and activities, as required by Patient Services Manager MNH.
  • Manage and identify variances in the budget performance. Identifying budget and performance issues relating to Patient Support Services across the RBWH.
