We have an opportunity to join the People & Culture Team as a People Partner at our Newcastle office.

In this exciting role, you'll work alongside some of our high-performing business areas to deliver effective and proactive partnering, and a positive employee experience.


Your main duties will include:

  • Liaising closely with relevant leaders to understand the people priorities and opportunities for their sector, specialty or function.
  • Working collaboratively with People Team colleagues across People Operations, Reward and Talent, Engagement and Recruitment to develop and implement business change programmes and products.
  • Working in relevant area to build capability of leaders to shape and enhance the employee experience, providing expert advice and coaching to embed excellent people management practices, ensuring risks are managed.
  • Supporting leaders to practise good talent management processes, with succession planning and resourcing requirements.
  • Providing advice and guidance on all employee touchpoints including processes, procedures relating to all aspects of the employee life cycle.
  • Undertake regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis of data as required.
  • Leading and participating on projects within the People & Culture team
  • Actively support colleagues in the People & Culture team to ensure delivery of an effective and proactive service.
Your profile

Ideally, you'll have:

Essential Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Chartered Member of the CIPD (or equivalent level of experience).
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a People function role, with demonstrable people partnering experience.
  • Experience of supporting large scale change in a commercial and/or customer
- focused environment

  • Experience of using HR information systems and reporting to enhance the employee experience.
  • Confident in presenting, chairing and participating in meetings.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with an organised approach to work, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Builds and maintains positive, collaborative working relationships at all levels, using a supportive and challenging style where appropriate.
  • Demonstrable experience of influencing leaders and the ability to challenge appropriately.
  • Maintains appropriate professional development, keeping abreast of industry, professional and employment law, demonstrating an understanding of the implications of any changes.
  • Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of benefits, terms and conditions and implications of any changes.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience ideally gained in private sector, professional or financial services sector and within a global business.
  • Some knowledge of international employment law
