About the role:

As our new Safety Partner, you will coach, mentor, and support our Newcastle & Geelong sites, fostering a strong and engaged Health and Safety function.

Key responsibilities:
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in health and safety performance and respond to incident trends
  • Facilitate incident investigations, hazard identification, and risk assessments
  • Advise and support line leaders to ensure the effective implementation and communication of the InfraBuild health and safety policy, standards, programs, and procedures
  • Conduct audits of business processes that are associated with inherently highrisk activities
  • Support the implementation of new health and safety initiatives
  • Train and assess stakeholders in safety systems and processes
  • Please note: this role includes monthly travel to our Geelong site.
About your experience:

A full, clean Australian driver's license is essential, as this role involves driving to various sites.

You also have:
  • A certificate IV in WHS or Training and Assessing
  • Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Effective skills in influencing and coaching a wide variety of stakeholders, line managers, safety team members, and onsite contractors
  • Strong time management with the ability to balance workload and manage competing priorities
  • An innovative and creative approach to safety with a proactive attitude
  • A strong ability to work autonomously.
