About the Opportunity

ASC is a key stakeholder in the design and delivery of the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard. We are seeking a qualified Project Engineer Infrastructure to join our team now.

Responsibilities

  • Defining the infrastructure requirements to enable safe and modern construction methodologies, ideally in a maritime defence environment.
  • Coordinating meetings with end user groups to define the operational requirements and translating these into infrastructure functional requirements
  • Producing CAD drawings and requirements registers to describe the infrastructure requirements as an input to the design process
  • Participating in design development meetings, safety in design workshops and risk assessments with external stakeholders
  • Reviewing design documents including drawings and specifications, for compliance against the infrastructure functional requirements
  • Checking site installation compliance with design drawings and specifications

About you

  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • Project engineering / management on complex infrastructure programs
  • Evidential experience in applying WHSE regulatory standards in line with legislated Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
  • Experience delivering technical projects within the industrial manufacturing or construction industry, or specifically Shipbuilding industry (highly regarded)

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
