Do you have a passion for Recruitment? Are you also an experienced and autonomous HR Generalist? We might be a great fit for each other This role starts in 202- Based in Flinders Lane, Melbourne we need someone who, like us, values team work, accountability, and positivity.

You'll bring Recruitment, HR Generalist and Office Admin experience. We'll bring flexibility in every way, supportive managers and a great culture._
- (Wondering about money? Upfront we'll discuss this with you if you're shortlisted before venturing through our recruitment process)_

About the role
Amicus is a specialist in Commercial Workplace Design & Construction, offering additional services in Strategy, Technology, Finance and more.

This role has both a National and Local focus. The Melbourne team is a team of ~40 within a broader company of ~90.

This position is within the Employee Experience Team, comprising leaders in HR, People, Learning & Development, and Culture.

The team consists of five individuals, each primarily dedicated (around 70% of their role) to a specific area of expertise while also enjoying the diversity inherent in contributing to a broad spectrum of Employee Experience initiatives.

This role will align similarly.

This is the anticipated breakdown of the role, and this will vary based on the needs of the business

:

National focus:

  • 50% Recruitment/Talent Acquisition
  • 20% Human Resources Activities* 10% Employee onboarding and offboarding including basic IT set up
  • Spread across Employee Relations, Employee Engagement & Recognition, HR Analytics, Employee Wellbeing and Wellness Programs, Feedback and Surveys; and various activities to assist with our strong culture continuing to thrive
State Focus

  • 20% Office Management with light IT responsibilities
  • Ordering stationery supplies, pantry, lunch, IT accessories, couriers etc. Also, helping set up existing employee laptops and managing access passes/keys, dongles etc

Here is what will make you ideal for the role

  • Recruitment experience (interviewing, deploying psychometrics, using a CTS)
  • Broad generalist and Employee Relations experience (there is access to our external consultant)
  • Experience in construction is ideal or experience where there are both office and sitebased roles (and the needs to each differ) will also transfer.
  • Formal qualifications in HR (or equivalent)

Here is why you might love working for us

  • We do a 9day fortnight
  • We do 2 days in the office/week and the rest from anywhere
  • We're goals driven, not hours driven. So, if your day can include a walk, a school kids/grandkids pickup, some hobbies go for it.
  • We are positively influencing people's lives by defining, designing and delivering inspirational workspaces that invigorate and energise people and entire organisations

Here is what might not work for you

  • We trust our team to work independently without being micromanaged. We like hiring people who are experts in their field and are confident in their abilities individuals who confidently trust their abilities, a trust that we reciprocate.
  • We foster a collective responsibility mindset. So, a day could range from being a key decision maker on a senior recruit to checking the pantry is stocked up
  • We value personal growth and feedback. So, we'll look for opportunities to develop you and often this will be through feedback which will be both constructive and kind. This works for us but we recognise it's not for everyone
  • We hire with confidence. We can because our recruitment process is thorough (but not lengthy). So it will include interview questions that dive into your experience and reference checks.
