About You


The Enterprise Compliance Manager is responsible for providing extensive support and advice in the design, development and implementation of enterprise-wide compliance management initiatives to give effect to the RMIT compliance framework.

This role works directly with stakeholders from across the university to influence a coordinated approach to compliance management for the RMIT Group.

This role will also be responsible for coordinating compliance oversight on emerging compliance obligations impacting RMIT operations.

To be successful in this position, you'll have as a minimum:

  • Experience in an enterprise-wide compliance or governance role
  • Knowledge and practical experience of regulatory and industry standards for compliance management systems and experience in designing, implementing and/or carrying out enterprisewide compliance management initiatives.
  • Highly developed diagnostic, analytical and problemsolving skills to identify risks and opportunities and to drive practical creative solutions to implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, influencing and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate across a broad audience in complex and often challenging contexts.
  • Highly developed project management, report writing and training skills.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and to influence stakeholders.

The Governance, Legal and Strategic Operations portfolio partners with other areas of the university in achieving organisational objectives, by strategically orienting its provision of governance, finance, legal, operational and secretarial services to the delivery of the core operations of the university.
