Executive Manager, Segment Marketing (Chapter Lead)


Through an intimate understanding of our business customers, in collaboration with our stakeholders and leveraging our agency partners, we deliver world class marketing initiatives that increase the vibrancy of the CBA brand - be the brand of choice; Drive demand centric marketing campaigns - converting prospects to loyal customers; and engagement with customers through digital and social innovation.


This Executive Manager role, leads the marketing team for our Micro, Small Business, Regional and Agriculture along with broker and content areas with a focus on marketing strategies for those customers who have a relationship manager, and for those who do not.


This role is for someone passionate about building the Commonwealth Bank Brand with businesses of all shapes and sizes all around Australia.

This role is part of the Business Marketing Leadership Team, responsible for delivering high impact marketing activity for all business segments.


Key responsibilities of role:

  • Lead opportunity identification through channel attribution research, data, client analytics, business intelligence and external research. Educate and drive the teams to adopt these skillsets into their own activities and educate the business stakeholders on using this data to better connect with their clients.
  • Work with business stakeholders to develop and implement relevant marketing strategies for businesses located in regional and metro Australia (RM managed and mass)
  • Build strong digital, social and programmatic programs within your integrated strategies to reach customers and prospects directly and appropriately.
  • Work collaboratively and seamlessly with the Business Brand Team, Product, Event and Segment Teams to integrate these key specialist areas into all plans.
  • Effectively develop and influence complex senior stakeholder management groups to deliver successful marketing programs for the Group including Group Corporate Affairs to increase share of voice
  • Leadership and management of a team of 8. Act as a team leader within both the business marketing team and the wider Group marketing team.
  • Adopt and drive a sound risk culture within your team, ensuring all controls are equally known and managed at all times and operating within agreed budget

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years' experience in marketing, marketing communications role with experience in B2B financial services marketing preferred.
  • At least 2 years leadership experience of midsized teams
  • Demonstrable example of working with contact and engagement engines within the context of integrated marketing strategies
  • A solid understanding of Australian business and economic dynamics and how these affect small and medium businesses and our regional communities
  • Previous experience working within a matrix organisation, with multiple stakeholders in differing divisions.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute superior outcomes under tight deadlines
  • Digital and BTL experience in B2B markets highly regarded
