The role:

As the Category & Channel Manager

  • Oral Healthcare, you will be working towards the goal of creating competitive advantage through insights driven and effective category reviews, that align to our brand and retailer priorities. The role will work Cross functionally locally and globally with other teams across our organisation. The role is a contract role for approx 7months, and has the flexibility to be either full time or part time for the right person.

About you:

You will have previous category experience with developed strategic thinking and commercial flair. Strong cross functionally, with capability that can foster and build relationships across multiple internal and external stakeholders.


You will highly be adept at working autonomously whilst working in a collaborative, forward focused organisation that is committed to supporting the needs of cross functional teams.

You will be attuned to the needs of the business and the supporting data that will support the decision-making process.

You will have a track-record of success in a category or similar role where you leverage reporting tools, produce insights and confidently and concisely present business critical information.

In addition to the above you will also have:

  • The ability to understand and translate category objectives and shopper insights
  • FMCG experience, preferable with grocery and pharmacy channel experience
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A high level of commercial and financial acumen including budget management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Personal credibility, confidence, and robustness to influence and challenge senior colleagues.
  • Experience with AC Nielsen and IMS data.

Responsibilities include:

  • Optimisation of current shelf merchandizing principles and solutions including planogram management for total pain relief.
  • Development of category growth initiatives
  • Development of category selling stories for HALEON innovation/connections initiatives.
  • Category analytics and category insights
  • Identification of category risks and opportunities.


Understand data sources
  • ACNielsen, IMS and Shopper insights (Shopper tracker/Customer data when relevant)
