Your Impact


Reporting to the Senior HR Manager, Southern Alcohol Operations and Abbotsford Projects this project role will see you partnering with the Head of Manufacturing and their Maintenance staff to onboard newly insourced trades workforce as well as creating and implementing all processes and forums within a timely manner.


To ensure outcomes are delivered within mandate and operational risks are mitigated, you will assist with all IR responsibilities such as education and implementation of EA terms, consultation, dispute resolution, and, as necessary, representation at FWC conciliation, participation in FWC arbitration, and EA negotiations.


In addition, you will also be responsible for creating an Apprentice Program (including RTO requirements) to support the onboarding of newly insourced apprentices and hiring of new apprentices, in compliance with the Trades EA.


Please note:
Part-time (3 days per week) to be worked on site at Abbotsford Brewery Fixed term (12 months, with possibility of extension)

Other
key responsibilities include

  • Develop and maintain amicable relationships with AMWU and ETU officials and their delegates
  • Develop a deep understanding of the maintenance operations, its performance drivers and metrics, in order to deliver cost effective and valueadded HR programs and solutions that will enhance business performance
  • Implement policies and Trades EA specific processes and forums, using the appropriate protocols to deal with exceptions, working with the appropriate Specialists or HR leaders
  • Coordinate implementation of services, policies, and programs in conjunction with Specialists and provide feedback to the Specialists on the effectiveness and impact of HR solutions and processes
  • Copartner to implement the existing terms of the Trades Enterprise Bargaining Agreement at site, and, as necessary, renegotiate prior to the nominal expiry

About you


You're highly experienced in working with a unionised workforce and a motivated HR professional with a comprehensive understanding of Australian Industrial Relations frameworks.

You're comfortable with change and ambiguity, with a strong passion for continuous improvement who can demonstrate success in driving positive change.


In addition, you are:

  • Tertiary qualified in HR, Business, or another related discipline
  • Experienced HR Business partner with sound familiarity of HR specialist disciplines
  • Experienced in the management and negotiation of Enterprise Bargaining agreements, and representing at FWC Conciliation meetings
  • An impeccable communicator, with strong leadership capabilities, and very comfortable in conflict situations
