About the opportunity


This is an exciting role working alongside the Customer Service Excellence Manager to provide the necessary leadership, guidance and development to a IT Helpdesk team through a hands on approach, ensuring our customers receive the highest-level ICT support and services.


Additionally the position is tasked with coordinating and managing new starters (employees and volunteers) during their first month at Uniting.

This includes, but is not limited to, hardware set-up and additional access if required, contributing to a seamless new starter experience.

About you

  • If you hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or have substantial experience in related fields we would consider these attributes highly desirable; as would ITIL Certification.
  • In addition you have:
  • Ability to demonstrate and authentically promote Uniting's value
  • Demonstrated experience providing leadership and guidance to the Service Desk team
  • Experience in developing and managing staff roster to ensure service levels are staffed accordingly
  • Ability to mentor and assist the Service Desk team to develop skills and capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience assisting as the escalation point for any unresolved IT queries
  • Experience overseeing service levels with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Understanding of Azure, Active Directory and O36
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of general IT support and coverage as required.
