The role:

Carrier is seeking a Business Development Manager, based in Sydney.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will be responsible for growing sales and market share by acquiring / converting new customers and by managing and increasing sales with existing customers.

You will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and pursuing opportunities for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) package projects to keep our customers operating effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities to extend and develop the Company's customer and service asset base
  • Work with the local operations teams to qualify leads, assist in developing opportunities, and assist in acquiring new customers and business
  • Provide OEM centric solution sales in the form of Service Repair packages
  • Maintain frequent communication with management regarding new initiatives, product offerings and innovative solutions offerings to maximise sales opportunities
  • Gather appropriate, useful market intelligence affecting company products and marketing strategies
  • Prepare and conduct presentations to, and negotiations with, prospective customers to achieve growth objectives
  • Prepare regular reports and analyses of new business development

To be successful in this position, you will require the following:

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • HVAC Trade Qualification
  • Experience in aftermarket parts/repair sales
  • Demonstrated strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Confident operating in a technical environment utilising Microsoft based computer software (Confident with Excel spreadsheets)
  • Selfmotivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities
  • Excellent sales/negotiation skills and goalorientated with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Chiller experience and knowledge is highly advantageous
