Services Director, Building NSW/ACTOur client is a Tier 1 Head Contractor with a prominent projects in play and even stronger pipeline.
We are looking for a subject matter expert looking to extend their leadership expertise across the NSW/ACT business.You have extensive time across the building industry and boast major project experience including in pre-construction.
About The Role Provide leadership, support and guidance in all aspects of building services management to the Regional Building Team to achieve business plan objectives, regional and project deliverables.
Provide functional leadership to building services roles within the Region's Building Team Interface with Business Groups to ensure consistency of approach to building services delivery Build and maintain relationships with key consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
Develop strategies which support and enhance the business plans of the Region Liaise with prospective clients, suppliers and subcontractors to identify potential opportunities and partnerships Lead commercial discussions, agreement and management with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
Including the development of scope of works.Develop and implement building services design, delivery, and commissioning processes to be implemented on prospective and current projects Develop and Implement standardised building services scopes including temporary works Develop services design processes on prospective and current projects to enhance design and delivery strategies Monitor progress and identify risks and opportunities of building services works on existing projects, including through design, procurement, delivery, and commissioning People management: Monitor building services staff to ensure the project has the capability to achieve targets, supervise workforce, including subcontractors, and foster a high-performing team within a positive employee relations environment.
Lead growth and development plans for the services cohort within the region.Promote a culture of wellbeing and caring for staff, consultants, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all is the upmost priority.
Cultivate culture of delivering best practice, meeting client needs (internal and external), and proactive management of risk, SQE and sustainability Provide technical support to the Region Building Manager, Project Directors/Managers and Project teams Plan and implement strategic procurement initiatives Lead the services bid and tender strategies, bid requirements and assessment of services consultants and subcontractors.
Participate in the identification and selection of consultants, subcontractors and suppliers related to building services Identify, develop and implement technical innovation opportunities during tenders and through delivery Demonstrate leadership in risk management, compliance, and auditing, and ensure legislative, pre-contract and commercial obligations are met, including compliance with the relevant Building Codes.
Continual development of initiatives and processes that enable the business to be a market leader in the design and delivery of building services Requirements Of The Role Experience delivering technology and building services on major projects ($500 M+)15 years' experience in engineering and technical management roles5 years in senior building services role for Tier 1 or National contractor Specialist trade and/or Associate design qualification Tertiary qualification in mechanical, electrical or plumbing Multi-disciplined project experience in tender, design and construction phases of projects in Australia and internationally Expert in statutory compliance requirements in regions and territories where the business operates Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience managing commercial relationships, budgets, cost control Demonstrated stakeholder management skills with a focus on relationship building, influencing, communication and negotiation skills Like the sound of all this?To register your interest, please apply via the online function with an up-to-date resume or for further information, please contact: Kelly Mc Lean | Principal Consultant Redpath Partners | Sydney P: E: We work with premier construction companies that trust Redpath and value those with the right attitude above anything else.
