ABOUT THE ROLE:

***The Customer Service operator is responsible for the movement of cargo by building strong relationships with clients, maintaining all rates and client retention through exceptional customer service and transparency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain Portfolio of clients as assigned
  • Support with the imports department as required
  • Handling quotations, invoicing and costings
  • Handle customer enquiries and help as required whilst providing exceptional customer service
  • Document all customer shipping enquiries and keep client updated of shipment progress, delays etc
  • Data entry
  • Conflict management
  • Take responsibility for reviewing all customer purchase orders, telephone, overthecounter orders and for resolving all outstanding issues
  • Respond to inbound and outbound customer contact
  • Organise the international transfer of freight
  • Use of CargoWise

ESSENTIAL:

  • Proficient within Microsoft Office
  • Experience within providing exceptional customer service
  • Experience working in freight forwarding
  • The ability to work towards set KPI's and deadlines
  • An understanding of Incoterms

HIGHLY DESIRABLE:

  • 2 years experience in International freight forwarding
  • Exposure in imports and customer service
