This is an opportunity for an ongoing position. The roles can be based from any DCS hub location with flexible working arrangements available. Occasional travel to Parramatta will be required.

The Licensing & Funds stream within Better Regulation Division (BRD) delivers a diverse range of regulatory schemes to enable individuals, businesses and organisations to operate in NSW while assuring the community that the requirements of the law are being met.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will:

  • Embracing change early by adopting new tools and resource innovations while proactively managing customer expectations in a specialist, regulatory environment.
  • Be a gogetter using your initiative to work through challenging, complex matters while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Using active listening techniques, empathy and understanding when communicating with customers and stakeholders to clarify and resolve issues.
  • Where a precedent does not exist, use good judgement to problem solve, considering the broader context of a situation and ensuring decisions are justifiable.
  • Using new and existing licensing management systems and processes to support decision making and record sound record keeping.
  • Be an Aboriginal person (as essential requirement)
