About the Role:
We are looking for an upbeat Pump Crew Operator to join our Mackay Projects team.
This role is a permanent, full time DIDO position, working 7 days on and 7 days off.
You will perform operation repairs and maintenance to plant and equipment on site, which includes mine site dewatering.
You must have unlimited working rights in Australia to apply for this role.
Position Description Key Accountabilities Accountability for the installation, maintenance and monitoring of equipment (including pump and diesel fleet)
Complete the welding and installation of HDPE pipelines Pre-start on equipment and monitoring oil levels Accurate and timely recording of service information Monitor water levels in dams to ensure supply Ensuring delivery schedules are met in a timely manner Effective communication on day-to-day activities Other duties as directed by your Manager Skills/ Selection Criteria (qualifications & experience)Essential:
Demonstrated experience in monitoring water levels in an open pit dam Demonstrated ability to coordinate general pump installations (including associated pipework as well as dewatering)
Ability to run an installation from arrival on site to completion of each job Demonstrated knowledge of monitoring the conditions of the dewatering equipment Ability to read, interpret and record pressure gauge readings Solid knowledge in pumping fundamentals Demonstrated understanding of priming systems Basic mechanical diagnostic knowledge Organised and able to work without supervision Current Driver's Licence Desirable:
Experience working in Mining Dewatering, Rental, Construction or Heavy industries Supervisor Certificate Standard 11 MR Truck Licence Relevant tickets including but not limited to: Forklift, Manitou, Excavator, Poly-welding, Chainsaw, Rigging and Confined Space Entry Further information We believe in providing great employee experience.
