Anixter is on the lookout for a seasoned Outside Sales Representative to join our NSW sales team. As a crucial team member, your main tasks will involve cultivating new leads and engaging with existing customers to boost sales and enhance the company's product and service margins.

Job Title: Outside Sales Representative

Your key focus will be on direct sales activities and account management to meet revenue targets by understanding customer needs, proposing suitable products/services/solutions, and ensuring a seamless sales process.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes and expands customer account plans developed with management.
  • Implements margin improvement strategies through value-added services and supplier engagement.
  • Identifies potential customers through various channels and communication methods.
  • Engages with customers to comprehend their needs and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrates product functionalities to customers based on their requirements.
  • Maintains customer satisfaction through continuous communication and issue resolution.
  • Updates customers on new products, services, and enhancements.
  • Uses sales tools for planning and documenting sales opportunities.
  • Enhances product knowledge through training programs.
  • Builds strong relationships with suppliers through joint sales activities.
  • Provides price quotes directly or with sales support.

Qualifications:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Prior sales experience necessary, outside sales background is a plus.
  • Two years of industry experience preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel to clients and suppliers.
  • Flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel required.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in presenting and delivering information.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Team player with good Microsoft Office Suite skills.
  • Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (Preferred).
  • Ready to travel 50-75% of the time.
