About this position

We are seeking a dynamic leader to develop, facilitate and evaluate a variety of family programs and events aligned with the City's Strategic Community Plan. In this role, you will foster strong partnerships with government agencies and community organisations, ensuring that our City's values are at the core of everything we do.

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join our team. You will work alongside local children and family service providers to enhance the value of our activities and programs and ensure they are accessible to our community.

What we are looking for

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and experience in a similar role providing community-based services and programs for children and families
  • Experience as a leader managing and motivating staff
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and build productive working relationships
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
  • Knowledge of risk management planning, implementation and evaluation

Essential requirements

  • Current driver's licence.
  • Qualification in Childrens Services or other relevant community services field
  • Working with Children check
  • First Aid certificate
  • Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
