The Role:


Reporting to the Head of Credit and Member Operations, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of risk management, assurance projects and initiatives for BankVic's frontline retail distribution network.

You will partner with stakeholders across different levels to manage risks and identify issues within our current systems and frameworks.


As the Member Growth & Experience (MG&E) Risk Partner, you will support the overall improvement in risk management maturity and help our retail distribution network to uplift their risk management capability.

You will provide regular reporting and oversight on the effectiveness of risk management and contribute to projects to ensure risks are identified, controlled, and managed.


Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and oversee the operational risk framework and procedures on behalf of Member Growth & Experience.
  • Provide training and coaching to BankVic's frontline retail distribution network on operational risk practices/program.
  • Provide provision of advice, oversight, and challenge the business on their operational risk responsibilities, capabilities, and assessments.
  • Review complaints and other reporting sources to identify trends and opportunities to improve BankVic's risk profile.
  • Design and lead market channel development activity and coordinate member acquisition and growth strategies by forecasting activities and setting performance goals accordingly.

To be successful in this role:

  • Demonstrated experience within assurance functions in Financial Services or Professional Services.
  • Supported and implemented Risk Management controls, frameworks, and policies.
  • Practical experience in operational risk management practices and programs and delivering risk reviews, internal audit and risk management projects.
  • Strong experience reporting into Senior Management and preparing and writing reports on risk management and internal audit activities.
  • A diverse background working across multiple organisations is ideal, including experience in banking (lending or operations) and insurance, and familiarity with ACL, AFSL regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management across all levels.
