Our Team & Opportunity


The Strategic Growth Team is responsible for the development of Vanguard's Personal Investor strategy including the Vanguard Super strategy and annual business planning process.

The team is also responsible for the assessment and execution of potential inorganic growth opportunities and the oversight of services delivered to the Superannuation fund via Vanguard shared services.


A key focus for this role will be providing analytical and operational support for the strategy and performance monitoring and inorganic growth processes.

The Strategy & Reporting Analyst will support key management reporting deliverables in relation to business and strategy performance.

What you will do

  • Research, analyze and interpret data regarding business and competitor performance.
  • Conduct analysis in support of inorganic transactions using financial modelling techniques.
  • Various research and data collection activities market trend analysis, competitor and member outcomes analysis etc. to support strategy development.
  • Prepare management reporting in relation to strategy execution and business performance.
  • Prepare and deliver visualizations and internal and external presentations and artefacts that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions.
  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for

  • Demonstrated experience within Financial Modelling and Analysis / Business Partnering / Data & Analytics / Management Accounting function
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel modelling, data manipulation along with the ability to present data in various formats.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Familiar with fastpaced, dynamic environments and the ability to adapt quickly.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, driven and selfmotivated to continually learn new skills.
  • Selfmotivated and an eagerness to work handson with team members.

Specialisations that will make an impact

  • Business analysis, conceptual thinking skills
  • Industry experience within Financial Services. Superannuation and Investment Management experience will be well regarded.
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, business, commerce or related field. Professional certification or advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CA, CPA) is a plus.
