Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Using strong business acumen to drive the top and bottomline number and deliver market share gains.
  • Drive account growth and profitability by assessing and building on areas of momentum; capitalise on product/pricing opportunities and course correct with innovative sales tactics to improve sales performance with account in partnership with Sales Planning.
  • Develop short
- and long-term strategic plan in conjunction with the account; leveraging account insight and goals, market and competitor insights, to achieve sales targets and align with brand and category objectives.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all internal departments and assigned accounts.
  • Deliver on time reporting and forecasting for all required reports and documents to appropriate parties.
  • Continuous monitoring of order book including supporting cost effective and reliable delivery to the account.
  • Analyse & Grow existing account base to meet future growth targets through distribution growth.
  • Measure progress on KPI's
  • Manage, track, and resolve customer compliance/account operations issues
  • Execute instore training and having the ability to invest significant time to build a strong rapport with all stores within your assigned territory.

  • Account Management with proven track record of successfully managing a customer base
  • Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. communication, negotiation)
  • Proven methodological skills (e.g. Business planning, strategic development)
  • Strong functional skills (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Finance)
  • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge
  • Mental flexibility, initiative and determination
  • A keen passion for golf and a sound understanding of the golf industry
  • Ability to travel
  • Requisite Education & Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • Field sales experience, within a consumer goods company in the sporting goods industry. The equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
