About the role:

Reporting to the National HR Manager for Wire you will act as a trusted partner to the business providing day-to-day HR support, guidance, and expertise in a range of areas such as employee issue management, performance management, succession and planning, remuneration, and change management

You will also:

  • Provide guidance, support, and resolution strategies on all disciplinary, employment relationship, and industrial relationship issues
  • Have involvement in EBA meetings and negotiations with unions
  • Provide advice and support to management and employees
  • Plan and manage the Talent Pipeline Program involving Graduates, Trades, and Scholarships
  • Work on talent management, learning & development, and ad hoc HR projects.

About your experience:


To be successful in this role you will have a high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to influence and engage with individuals across all levels.

You will thrive in a changing environment where no two days are the same and as such be flexible and resilient in managing priorities.


You will also have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or an associated discipline
  • Experience in a similar level influencing role (however Grads still welcome to apply)
  • Manufacturing or similar heavy industry exposure would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience working with ER and IR issues, including working with EBA
  • Robust knowledge and working experience with Australian employment law
  • Proven HR experience in a unionised environment
  • Training and development experience.
