This is a full-time 3-year contract. The base annual salary is $83, % Superannuation, based on a 38-hour working week.

**Description

The National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) is Australia's premier training ground for future leaders and practitioners in the dramatic arts.

Located at Kensington in Sydney, it is a Centre of excellence in education and training.

NIDA is unique in the world for its practice-based and industry-relevant training in the range that it offers which includes Acting, Design, Costume, Properties and Objects, Technical Theatre and Stage Management, Scenic Construction, Writing for Performance, Directing and Cultural Leadership.

In consultation with the Senior Program Manager and Head of Department, the Program Manager - Schools and Community is responsible for the design and delivery of activities for community groups and teachers or students of primary or secondary education institutions nationally.

This includes major public events for schools and community, teacher professional development and group student learning through all disciplines and platforms.


The role drives growth in the schools and community market by proactively building a national and international pipeline of relationships and program bookings to expand NIDA Open's presence.

This role ensures all school and community courses and events are financially viable, run smoothly and efficiently, are appropriately staffed, have accurate documentation and resources and reflect current industry best practice in respect of performing arts education.

It also ensures that the experience of all participants and stakeholders is of a high standard, that casual tutors are well supported, and all programs for young people, vulnerable people and teachers meet NIDA's commitment to providing a Child Safe environment.


Requirements:


You will have qualifications/experience working in arts education, including industry experience in theatre, film or television, with the ability to relate and communicate across different audiences.

You are a great collaborator who is able to effectively problem solve and juggle multiple programs and priorities.
