Randstad are currently assisting a Federal Government client in recruiting for an APS3 Service Support Officer. The initial contract is 12 months in length and is based in Stafford. Hourly rate ranges from $40-$45/hr plus superannuation. The position is with a large, community focussed department and provides ample opportunity for meaningful community engagement. Candidates with a background in medical/health practices are encouraged to apply.

Service Support Officer Job Description:

As a Service Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality customer service and administrative support for the local office. Your responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and stakeholders in person, over the phone, and through email and SMS
  • Resolve client inquiries, providing information, options, and referring to the relevant service delivery team
  • Manage the team shared email inbox, appointments, and telephone inquiries.
  • Coordinate appointments using office facilities and ensure facilities are accessible for participants.
  • Undertake research and investigation activities, preparing reports and correspondence.
  • Support planning teams by actioning tasks that do not require delegation.
  • Perform data entry activities and ensure follow-up is completed.
  • Receive and record complaints and other feedback.
  • Provide administrative support for clients during in-center appointments.
  • Manage appointments using the Client Management System.
  • Coordinate regional events, including group treatment and educative programs, internal meetings, and community-based events
  • Assist in data entry, record-keeping, and workflow tasks across all service delivery streams.
  • Deliver correspondence internally and externally related to client allocations, referrals, appointments, and service satisfaction.
  • Provide administrative support to external referral platforms and stakeholders.
  • Support the daily operations of the region, including managing correspondence and deliveries, arranging travel, processing invoices, raising resource requests, and responding to property and maintenance issues.
  • Support the Assistant Practice Manager in reporting quality assurance and operational data.
  • Support workplace practices in line with policies of Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Diversity, the Australian Public Service Values and Employment Principles, and the Code of Conduct.

    This role requires a dynamic individual with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage diverse responsibilities efficiently. The Service Support Officer plays a key role in ensuring excellent customer service, effective administrative support, and the overall success of regional operations.
