The iconic Centennial Homestead, is set in the heart of Sydney’s Centennial Park, boasting elegant dining rooms, sun drenched decks, outdoor terraces, floor-to-ceiling windows and unsurpassed views over rolling green lawns.
The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Head Chef to join our company and lead the dedicated kitchen team, while delivering exceptional food in a fast paced kitchen, events, function and kiosk environment whilst maintaining a professional attitude at all times.
This role will report directly into the Executive Chef and will work closely with the Group Executive Chef. You will be part of the business planning, designing and decision making of the menu development and the general operation in such prestige venue.
You
Minimum 5 years Head Chef experience - managing and leading a professional kitchen Extensive experience working in a fast paced multi outlet environment The ability to achieve business goals, financial budgets and service standards Exposure in an upmarket environment - similar food quality and standards are expected. Complete ability to design and cost a la Carte, function, special events and canapé menus Strong creativity and ability to think outside the square while coaching and developing a team Managing associated kitchen costs including food and wages, recruitment of staff and general administration duties Extensive knowledge and passion about food produce and quality Industry standard knowledge of Health, Safety and Sanitisation procedures
