Join the team at John Fawkner Private Hospital as a Support Services Assistant We're looking for an experienced professional to bring their skills to our team on a part-time basis. If you take pride in your work, possess a friendly, positive attitude, and are willing to work across three areas, cleaning, food delivery, and orderly duties, this role is for you

John Fawkner Private Hospital is a fully accredited 186-bed acute care facility providing a comprehensive range of surgical, medical, cancer and critical care services. Equipped with advanced medical, surgical and diagnostic technology, John Fawkner Private is focused on meeting the growing healthcare needs of patients in our local community and surrounding regions.

Specialising in Cardiology, Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Cancer, the Hospital provides a comprehensive range of onsite medical and surgical services and delivering the highest standard in all areas of health care.

As the largest private hospital with the only private 24 hr. Emergency Department and Critical Care unit in northwestern Melbourne, John Fawkner Private works with highly skilled visiting specialists who offer subspecialty expertise.

John Fawkner Private Hospital has a long-established tradition for providing quality healthcare to our local community, the veteran community and patients travelling from regional northwest Victoria.

As a Support Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

· Ensuring cleanliness and safety across all hospital areas (clinical and non-clinical)

· Adhere to infection control and WHS protocols

· Maintaining equipment and ensuring proper use of chemicals

· Participation in food services

· Deliver outstanding customer service to staff, clients and patients

· Commit to continuous professional development

Essential Criteria:

  • Authority to Work in Australia
  • Experience in cleaning, patient transferring, and food delivery/preparation (Desirable)
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Commitment to service excellence.
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Available for on-call shifts
