About the role:
This role is part of a collaborative and supportive team working together to improve outcomes for Unitywater. If you are motivated by problem solving, process efficiency and making a difference, this role may be the right one for you.

The Management Accountant position is a permanent full-time position, joining our Corporate Strategy and Performance Business Unit. Reporting to the Management Accounting Manager you will play a critical role in providing hands on financial support, focusing on analysing business financial performance, and driving improvements. Through a collaborative team approach, you will support multiple business units, so strong communication skills are essential.
  
About you:
To contribute to Unitywater’s values of Reliability, Safety, Honesty & Integrity, Efficiency, One Team, Innovation, you will demonstrate the following skills and qualities for the role:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting and/or Commerce (or close to completion).
  • Membership of, or working towards membership of, an appropriate professional organisation (CPA/CA qualified).
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated time management skills to plan and deliver reporting requirements within timelines and to agreed objectives.
  • Experience in financial analysis and reporting, business planning, developing costing, formulating and monitoring budgets, forecasting and accounting processes.
  • A strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to interrogate data and produce relevant financial reports.
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to effectively communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated attributes of drive, reliability and flexibility with the ability to identify and manage strategic issues.
