We are embarking on a number of exciting projects, and we are recruiting senior risk professionals to join us on this journey

The NFR Management team is a second-line of defence, “independent” from management and employees that originate risk exposures. The Senior Manager role forms part of the second line of defence and is a strategic role in the Bank in ensuring there is appropriate review, challenge and advisory over risks delivered as a result of significant change initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Non-Financial Risk (NFR), these are senior appointments created to support the NFR team with IBAL’s risk transformation program of work.

We require deep understanding of Risk frameworks and systems and industry best practices to be able to advise and influence the design and implementation of key risk deliverables.

What you’ll do  

Support the Mortgages Origination Transformation (the Change Initiative) with 2LOD risk deliverables in particular, change initiatives that require 2LOD NFR review, challenge and opinion/endorsement Assist the Information Risk Management (IRM) Lead, ORM Lead and Head of NFR in the overall and ongoing development, embedding and management of non-financial risk management and its associated frameworks across the business which includes but not limited to training and knowledge sharing across teams on various risk topics; Contribute to operational risk reporting including but not limited to, the business unit’s Non-financial Risk profile, emerging risks and effectiveness of the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework including associated policies and procedures Lead and own key deliverables within the programs that relate to the NFR Framework design and implementation Provide strategic design and implementation advice to adjacent risk transformation deliverables within the program that relate to or impact the NFR Framework Assist the Head of NFR in the overall and ongoing development, embedding and management of NFR management and its associated frameworks across the business which includes but not limited to training and knowledge sharing across teams on various risk topics

What we’re looking for  

Excellent understanding of NFR frameworks and associated components such as Risk Assessments, Issues, Controls, Assurance, Product Approvals, etc. Financial Services background with 10+ years’ experience in Risk (NFR including Compliance) in 1st or 2nd line of defence Previous experience in risk transformation programs and/or the design, development and improvement of NFR Frameworks Exceptional understanding of the delivery framework Excellent communicator and negotiator that is adaptable to the audience – . first line business, project experts, Executive Committee.
