We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at ING. As a leading bank in Australia, we're embarking on exciting projects that require exceptional risk professionals to ensure our business operates with confidence.

About the Role

This is a 12 months fixed term contract position that will play a critical role in shaping our Non-Financial Risk (NFR) management framework. You will work closely with our NFR Management team to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across various business areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • SUPPORTING THE MORTGAGES ORIGINATION TRANSFORMATION: Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver 2nd Line of Defence (2LOD) risk deliverables, ensuring effective review, challenge, and endorsement of change initiatives.
  • ASSISTING IN RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK DEVELOPMENT: Contribute to the development, embedding, and management of non-financial risk management frameworks across the business, including training and knowledge sharing.
  • OPERATIONAL RISK REPORTING: Provide support in operational risk reporting, including emerging risks and effectiveness of the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework.
  • LEADING KEY DELIVERABLES: Lead and own key deliverables within programs related to NFR Framework design and implementation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • EXCELLENT UNDERSTANDING OF NFR FRAMEWORKS: Demonstrated expertise in risk assessments, issues, controls, assurance, product approvals, and other relevant components.
  • FINANCIAL SERVICES BACKGROUND: Minimum 10+ years' experience in risk (NFR including Compliance) in 1st or 2nd line of defence.
  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN RISK TRANSFORMATION: Proven track record in risk transformation programs and/or design, development, and improvement of NFR Frameworks.
