We're seeking a seasoned Risk Management Senior Leader to join our team for a 12 months fixed term contract. As a key member of our Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Management team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of our risk exposure.


Our NFR Management team forms the second line of defence, operating independently from management and employees who originate risk exposures. In this role, you'll be a strategic advisor, providing review, challenge, and advisory services over risks delivered as a result of significant change initiatives.


Reporting to the Head of Non-Financial Risk (NFR), you'll support the NFR team with our risk transformation program of work. Your deep understanding of Risk frameworks and systems, as well as industry best practices, will enable you to advise and influence the design and implementation of key risk deliverables.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Support the Mortgages Origination Transformation with 2LOD risk deliverables, focusing on change initiatives that require 2LOD NFR review, challenge, and opinion/endorsement.
  • Assist the Information Risk Management (IRM) Lead, ORM Lead, and Head of NFR in developing, embedding, and managing non-financial risk management and its associated frameworks across the business.
  • Contribute to operational risk reporting, including the business unit's Non-financial Risk profile, emerging risks, and the effectiveness of the Non-Financial Risk Management Framework.
  • Lead and own key deliverables within programs related to NFR Framework design and implementation.
  • Provide strategic design and implementation advice on adjacent risk transformation deliverables that impact the NFR Framework.
  • Support the Head of NFR in developing and managing NFR management and its associated frameworks across the business.

Requirements:



  • Excellent understanding of NFR frameworks and associated components, such as Risk Assessments, Issues, Controls, Assurance, Product Approvals, etc.
  • Financial Services background with 10+ years' experience in Risk (NFR including Compliance) in 1st or 2nd line of defence.
  • Previous experience in risk transformation programs and/or the design, development, and improvement of NFR Frameworks.
  • Exceptional understanding of the delivery framework.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator, adaptable to the audience – first line business, project experts, Executive Committee.
