Senior Account Manager

Ogilvy Sydney is hiring a Senior Account Manager to work across one of the agency’s largest accounts. The account is fast-paced, expands across multiple touchpoints in each campaign and is packed with growth opportunities.
The team and client are part of what makes this role so unique. Ogilvy holds a longstanding and collaborative relationship with their clients. The team is tight-knit, supportive, has no egos and always looking for ways to have fun on the day-to-day.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will need to know the business inside out and work with our Group Account Director to be the client’s trusted advisor. You will also be responsible for managing team members, and lifting the team around them, supporting through workloads, representing the account back to the agency, and championing the great work that is being built.
Key Responsibilities
Build an open, honest, and trusting relationship with the client, the account management team, the creative department, and all other agency partners.Create the best possible opportunities for creative development, by supporting teams in creative development and understanding how it delivers business challenges.Work alongside a team, ensuring teamwork and collaboration are front and centre of that process.Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s brand and its competitive environment, so that the Agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship.Work with internal stakeholders to get things done on time, on budget and at the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines.Manage the professional development of direct reports, including feedback coaching and efficient delegation.Develop a strong relationship with the client and keep them in the loop with work in progress.Experience & Skills
At least two years of experience in a creative agencyExperience developing through-the-line creative solutions and campaign productions, particularly in broadcast, digital and printLead the clients, not just reacting to briefs, anticipating their needs, and finding solutionsAbility to build strong agency inter-departmental and external agency relationshipsSound financial management skillsDemonstrate resilience, confidence, and tenacityExcellent written and verbal communication skills and strong presentation abilities, including effective influence/persuasion skillsAbility to handle a difficult situation with diplomacy and tactAbility to be a good judge of creative work in terms of factual accuracy and relevance to the briefAbout the Offer
