Sales Technical Support Team Leader - Greenfields

This is a challenging and rewarding, key role located in Mount Waverley in a highly regarded team that is dedicated to supporting the Greenfields Sales Team with Design and Siting Proposals. You will be required to support and mentor a small team while also delivering technical support to the broader Sales and Operations Teams. Problem solving is a big part of this role and you will need to be able to think on your feet to develop solutions for our sales team.
Reporting to the Group Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include: Review sales proposals and develop preliminary site plans to ensure build feasibilityEnsure that each Sales proposal complies with Developer Guidelines, Planning Restrictions, Zones/Overlays and Schedules, Rescode, Small Lot Housing Code, Building regulations and Metricon’s PoliciesWork with the Sales Teams to resolve customer requested design changesEnsure design changes are responsive to Metricon Variation Policies, Building Regulations, Construction Methods and Good Design PracticeAttend Sales meetings to provide training for sales consultants to assist in the application of their technical knowledgeEnsure your teams work, feeding into Operations, maintains consistency, quality and compliance, which help drive operational outcomesFoster a positive working environment keeping your team motivated and performingSet, monitor and maintain the individual and team KPIsDevelop and train your team and recommend and implement improvements to productivity and outputContinuously develop knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to confidently interact with the Sales, Operations, Design and Construction teams; andCommunicate with various levels of management to effectively deliver team objectives.

The successful candidate will have: Diploma of Building Design & Drafting (or equivalent) and advantageKnowledge and application of Rescode, BCA and Planning Regulations and ProcessExperience in a leadership position is preferredIdeally 5+ years in a residential REVIT / AutoCAD Drafting and/or Design experienceAre familiar with Building and Planning Regulations and Developer ApprovalsCan design Site Plans for Earthworks, Cut and Fill, Batters and Retaining WallsUnderstand how Sales and Operations work togetherAre an effective Decision MakerHave the ability to effectively negotiate and advocate in disputesPossess excellent problem solving skillsA focus on delivering a quality service to our customers; andHigh level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
